Lucy has been the editor of a wide variety of novels, short stories and other works.

"The Fortunes of Mary Fortune" (Penguin, 1989) A selection of autobiographical writings from the pioneering detective writer, Mary Fortune. Fortune came to Australia with her small son to write about about the gold fields.

"Force and Fraud" by Ellen Davitt (Mulini, 1993) An edition of the first Australian murder mystery novel, originally published in 1865.

"The Patternmaker" and "The Lottery" (Omnibus, 1994) Two anthologies of original science fiction and fantasy for teenagers. "The Lottery" was reprinted by Scholastic USA as "Altered Voices".

"Shadow Alley" (Omnibus, 1995) A crime anthology for teenagers.

"She's Fantastical" (Sybylla, 1995) An anthology of Australian women's non-realist writing, co-edited with Judith Raphael Buckrich. The book was shortlisted for the 1996 World Fantasy Award.

"The Detectives� Album" by Mary Fortune (Broken Silicon Press, USA and Canada, 2003) A collection of stories by Mary Fortune.

"Three Detective Stories" by Mary Fortune (Mulini, 2009) A selection of three of Fortune's goldrush-era crime stories.
